Polina Shkadron


Polina Shkadron is a trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming speech-language pathologist specializing in autism, ADHD and ARFID. She is the founder and owner of Play to Learn Consulting, a successful private practice in NY, offering unique, individualized support to neurodivergent children and adolescents. She coaches parents in the most current, brain-based research, offering guidance and practical strategies to enhance their relationships with their children and themselves.

Polina received her Master of Arts degree from CUNY Queens College in 2009, later returning as an adjunct lecturer. She held the position for seven years, teaching undergraduate courses in communication sciences and disorders, as well as redesigning a course in psycholinguistics. As part of her lecture role, she supervised graduate level students, advising them in clinical skills and expertise during their first-year practicum experiences. In 2018, Polina attained a Master of Science degree in Nutrition Education from American University, which has transformed the feeding therapy aspect of her practice, giving her a unique lens into ARFID.

She maintains advanced certifications in trauma and ADHD, continuously integrating research in neuroscience, organizational psychology, and trauma-informed practices for neurodivergent populations. For her dedication to learning, she has earned five ACE awards from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Polina is a sought-after speaker for professional development organizations and has been featured in national and international conferences on ADHD and pediatric feeding disorders. She continues to appear on prominent podcasts discussing topics in executive functioning, play therapy, and mealtime struggles.
