Lisa Garlock, LCPAT, ATR-BC, ATCS
Lisa Raye Garlock, LCPAT, ATR-BC, ATCS, is director of education and art therapy at Common Threads Project. From 2005 to 2023, she was a professor in the graduate art therapy program at George Washington University. Lisa has presented workshops and lectures on art therapy topics in the US and abroad. She has worked with adults, adolescents and children in hospitals, schools, community-based organizations and shelters. In addition, Lisa is an accomplished artist, exhibiting work in a variety of media, with a current focus on arpilleras (story cloths). She studied printmaking and textiles at Rochester Institute of Technology and earned a master’s degree in in art therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester.
